About

Duane Lasley trained at the Violin Making School of America, and then spent three years with the late Michael Scoggins. He worked for David T. Stone, then had a small violin shop at Dusty Strings in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood. He then opend a shop with a friend, Chris Russ, as Lasley and Russ Violins, eventually becoming simply Lasley Violins. The shop was in Ballard for 20 years, but the loss of the shop’s home to redevelopment resulted in a move to the recently vacated shop of David Stone in the University District of Seattle.

I enjoy helping students and professionals find instruments and bows that will allow them to grow and fully express themselves.

Please come visit me in my new home in the U-District.
